Living Whole and Holy is my life goal. I am highly relational, positive and hopeful.  I attempt to live well physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.  I am grateful that God equips me daily with His strength, even though I fail often.
I grew up in Milwaukee, WI as a second child with four brothers.  I became a keen observer of behaviors as our traditional family began deteriorating when I was in middle school.  I have been exposed to many challenges through my family such as divorce, stepfamily, addiction, incarceration, unplanned pregnancy, infertility, adoption, early death, and cancer. I’m not afraid of the messiness of life.

I thrived as a stay-at-home mom of three kids following my career as a women’s clothing buyer. The coffee was brewing and our front door was open to friends and neighbors. Unknown to me, I was being prepared to be a therapist.  When our kids were in high school and college, I was struck by the thought, what will I be doing in 10 years?  The following fall, I began studying marriage and family therapy. My faith plus childhood trauma and dysfunction, and a desire to connect and help other people, made counseling the perfect answer.  I retired briefly in 2019 but realized I was not ready to stop counseling, so I started Living Whole and Holy Counseling.

I am married to my high school boyfriend and we love to take road trips to visit family and friends. Our active kids, their spouses and 7 grandkids are fun to be with and keep us busy. Hiking is my favorite pastime.  We are active church members and support local and international ministries and I am a Board Member of our Housing Association.   I am a life-learner and avid reader of theology, psychology, and fiction.
